IMMIGRATION ADVOCATE (Baltimore, MD)
To provide legal representation and immigration service counseling to immigrants and refugees before the US Immigration Service and the Executive Office of Immigration Appeal. To advocate for clients before other government agencies and service agencies as needed or required. Design and deliver seminars/workshops to immigrants, will undertake policy and legislative advocacy. Will undertake community organizing for relevant immigrant segments and will assist in grant writing and fundraising.
JD or equivalent and US Bar admission. Knowledge of Immigration Law, community organizing; design and delivery of seminars and workshops and grant writing and fundraising. Multicultural competence. 40 hours per week. Must have US permanent work authorization.
